Alizé is a platform that centralizes legal information and revolutionizes access to it through artificial intelligence.

It was during an internship at a law firm in Luxembourg that Téo, co-founder of Alizé, became aware of the limitations of traditional legal research: sources scattered across multiple platforms, keyword-based systems unable to capture context and requiring time-consuming manual review, and general-purpose AI tools that hallucinate and fail to meet the confidentiality standards of the legal sector.

The platform now integrates over 1.5 million Belgian legal sources, covering legislation, case law, parliamentary materials, regulatory bodies, labor law, and tax law. These sources are indexed and updated daily. Users can search the database in natural language, with answers systematically backed by sources. They can also compare a legal document—such as written submissions—against the entire database to identify supporting arguments, anticipate opposing arguments, or analyze an employment contract in light of applicable case law.

In addition, Alizé offers legal monitoring tools that allow users to track legislative and case law developments on specific topics, with notifications as soon as relevant new decisions or texts are published.

Unlike general-purpose tools, Alizé does not search the internet. Users define the scope of their research directly within the legal database, ensuring full traceability of results and significantly reducing hallucinations. The platform also enables professionals to leverage their own internal documentation through the Doc Portal, in a secure environment: no data is used to train models, all data is hosted within the European Union, and both conversations and documents are encrypted.

To support this launch, Alizé has recruited Nora Ounaha as Head of Belgium. With a legal background and based in Brussels, she will coordinate the startup’s activities in the Belgian market.

Thanks to feedback from our first clients and partners, additional sources will be integrated in the coming weeks to further strengthen the depth of the database, with the ambition of making Alizé the leading legal database in Belgium by summer.
